Florida: ready or not here we come!

Last night, as I was packing, I referred to last year's post before going to Florida. It remains a great list. I hope everybody remembered to pack a surprise! I did!

Waiting to board (bored)

Emmy and Franz found another place to sit.

They are the champions, my friends

I love this photo, taken I believe by one of the hockey dads this past weekend. Each boy's face wears the incredible thrill of victory. Even when they lose, this bunch is pretty happy. These boys love hockey... Mine is at the top left corner. (Click on the photo if you'd like to see it enlarged)

Bright and proud, they are
freshly primped and all dressed up:

Is it spring?

Yes, I think so!

Here are some telling signs:

I painted my toenails sparkely blue...

I drank a cup of tea outside on the stoop of our patio (and as I sat I realized I need to clean up out there!)

I bought some lillies

I put away my snowboots, hat and gloves

I got out my shades

I found Findy's collar, put it on her, and let her enjoy the weather too!

Sometimes I forget to love you like I should

OR ....
5 lovely things my husband did for me this week.

1. Made Charlie's lunch every day
2. Brought me tea in bed--- every morning
3. Made dinner AND cleaned up
4. Unloaded the dishwasher (but he ALWAYS does that)
5. Called me from the road to see what groceries we needed at home

Doing genuinely kind things for each other is easy on birthdays and special occasions. When you're into the daily grind, it's harder. Still, it's the right thing to do.

On the day we got married, we said, "Let's be good to each other." It was, and always has been, the spirit of our marriage. Sort of. At least it has been this week.

(our wedding day)

Also I wanted to post this interesting article on list-making from the  BBC about listmaking. I could have written the first three paragraphs!

Coming up ............my Oscar predictions!
