Found this amazing little picture today at a yardsale for $5. It's clear glass with a wood frame and it seems as though the photo is printed inside the glass. Charlie held it up for me against the late afternoon sky and I took a shot of it. Charlie loved it, by the way. Even Ulf thought it was neat.  It looks so lovely against the light. What a find!

I went to the riding stables last week in Conshohocken with my sister my neice Sophia, who has adored horses practically since the day she was born. She starting riding when she was four. I helped a friend make these appetizers for a dinner she was having. Beautiful seedless red grapes stuffed with blue cheese (I think we used Stilton). They were easy to make once I figured out what tool to use to scoop out the grape innards. So pretty!

The other day, while it snowed, I was glad to have recently purchased a birdfeeder. As I was working I kept my eye on the birds -- fascinated by the way they behaved at the feeder.
